December 2020 | January 2021 NEWS 06 Beijer Ref's FGASmanager Pro can now track any cylinder Beijer Ref has launched an upgraded version of its award-winning refrigerant cylinder management system, allowing customers to track any cylinder, no matter where it came from or who supplied it. FGASmanager Pro is said to provide all the benefits of FGASmanager with the added feature of enabling contractors to add any cylinder that needs tracking onto the system. It provides complete control of purchased refrigerant, the allocation of cylinders to engineers and refrigerant usage by system for all cylinders, even non-refrigerant cylinders. The powerful tool helps ensure compliance with F-Gas Regulations, including the ability to generate hazardous waste transfer notes automatically. The notes are generated with all the necessary fields populated and are ready to print within seconds. Another built-in feature allows customers to organise cylinder collections or returns from their computer and/or mobile device, automatically generating the correct paperwork. Developed exclusively for Beijer Ref UK and Ireland wholesalers Dean & Wood, HRP, RW Refrigeration Wholesale and DWG, FGASmanager Pro is available online at: www.fgasmanager.com Mitsubishi Electric adds NX2 chillers Mitsubishi Electric has added a new Climaveneta-branded NX2 range of air source scroll chillers, which it says o’ers improved energy e“ciency and sustainability. A plug and play solution with low noise levels, the chillers are said to be an ideal solution for HVAC plants within hotels, o“ces, leisure centres, hospitals, and universities. The new chillers complete the NX2 range, o’ering a two and four scroll compressor version with a capacity range from 40 to 376 kW. Both options are available with the lower- GWP R454B refrigerant, ensuring high levels of energy e“ciency alongside quality comfort cooling, as well as R410A. The complete range is Eurovent certified and far exceeds the minimum seasonal e“ciency level of 2021 imposed by EcoDesign Directive. MIKE CREAMER BECOMES IOR PRESIDENT Mike Creamer, pictured right, was confirmed as the new President of the Institute of Refrigeration at its AGM in November. A member for more than 35 years and a Fellow since 2014, the founder of technology training and certification provider Business Edge said: “I am very honoured to have been charged with this responsibility and will do my very best for this wonderful industry and the excellent people that are part of it. The IOR provides our industry with a wealth of technical information and advice with particular emphasis on environment, e“ciency, safety and innovation. It does great work in raising education standards, addressing environmental concerns and providing technical guidance. “My field performance analysis work regularly shows me the huge air conditioning power consumption within buildings and how as much as 30% can be saved by eliminating ine“ciency via simple adjustments. Increasing awareness of this environmental opportunity will be one of my objectives.’’ John Ellis, bottom right, of Ellis Training Works, and John Skelton, bottom left, of Marks & Spencer, were elected to the Board of Trustees. Outgoing President Kevin Glass thanked all six candidates for standing in the elections and welcomed the new members, as well as thanking Rob Lamb and John Austin-Davies, whose term has now finished. • Design and manufacture Small to Large coils ACR- p07_ news.indd 6 03/12/2020 11:50
