CHANGING FACES 46 FRIENDS REUNITED AS MIDEA UK STRENGTHENS TEAM Recent appointments in line with Midea UK's growth strategy have seen three former colleagues reunited. Paul McGettigan has been appointed as Business Development Manager for Ireland. Based in Dublin, he will develop sales of HVAC products in the Irish market with a focus on the air-to-water heat pump range. The specialist technician has spent more than 15 years spent in the industry with companies including Climate Services, GEA Denco and, most recently, Hitachi. Caroline Hayes joins as Sales and Marketing Manager, UK and Ireland, to strengthen Midea’s position in the region and increase brand awareness of one of the fastest-growing companies in the world - ranked #229 at 2020’s Global Fortune 500. Another former Hitachi employee, she brings a wealth of industry experience to the role with responsibility for leading the UK marketing strategy. She said: “It is a particularly exciting time to join the company as Midea becomes a major sponsor of Premier League football club Manchester City. Former MD Lee Downham has moved away from the day to day business to focus on delivering innovations into the market as they become standalone businesses. He remains on the board at DNM. Pickersgill was previously Managing Director of the oldest brick factory in the North of England, established in 1949. Holding full operational and commercial responsibility, his focus was on implementing new processes and procedures across the business to increase efficiencies and speed up business processes directing the strategy towards profitable growth and sustainability. Also, a key member of the executive team at Alpaca, a team of growth specialists, and a CEO coach and mentor with Vistage UK. Commercial Director Andy Reed said: “Adamwill provide technical, training and commercial support; and will help guide our customers through an important period as the industry starts the transition to lower GWP and natural refrigerants.” Prior to joining TF Solutions, Redford was Sales Manager at Yellow Jacket and before that Technical Support Engineer at Dawson Temperature Control Solutions.
